Garage Band

As with beverages, I believe that certain types of music really lend themselves to garage music. I tend to lean toward very heavy music, like old Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, or Mudvayne. There are a few local East-Coast bands (like Disorder by Design and 27) that have also worked their way into my playlists. I tend to keep it loud enough that you can’t hold a conversation (that’s a good thing, you end up just doing things, instead of discussing it), but some people have a completely different view on how the feel of a garage should be defined. I know people who listen to crappy British music like The Killers or The Hives, and still others who prefer classical (which really isn’t all that different from good metal).
Current Artist Listing:
27 (they often put me into a break-time mood, but sometimes you need that)
Avenged Sevenfold
Atreyu
Dillinger Escape Plan
Disorder by Design
Demon Hunter
Drist
Lamb of God
Mudvayne
Thrice
What do you listen to?

Depends on my mood. Sometimes it’s the Wu or Tribe Called Quest. Sometimes it’s Thursday or SDRE. Sometimes it’s the Bad Brains. My musical tastes are really eclectic so you may even find me listening to bluegrass in the garage.
Having a decent stereo does indeed make time in the garage more fun. I just got a nice system for the garage but have decided to keep it in the house because it’s better than my current house system
